AREAS WELL TO THE WEST AND NORTH OF NEW YORK CITY MIGHT EXPERIENCE A
STRAY SHOWER OR TWO...OR POSSIBLY A RUMBLE OF THUNDER THIS
AFTERNOON. HIGHS TODAY WILL RUN FROM AROUND 90 TO THE MID 90S ACROSS
INTERIOR PORTIONS OF THE TRI-STATE AND THE NEW YORK CITY HEAT
ISLAND...WITH MID TO UPPER 80S NEAR THE COAST.

A COLD FRONT CROSSING THE AREA WILL BRING SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO THE AREA THIS EVENING...POSSIBLY WITH SOME
PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. LOWS TONIGHT WILL BE AROUND 5
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.

HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE AREA FROM WEDNESDAY INTO
THURSDAY...WITH TEMPERATURES RUNNING ABOVE NORMAL WITH HIGHS MAINLY
IN THE 80S...AND LOWS MAINLY FROM THE MID 50S TO MID 60S...EXCEPT
TO AROUND 70 IN NEW YORK CITY.
