FLOOD STATEMENT

...The flood warning continues for the following rivers in
Pennsylvania...

  Monongahela River Near Charleroi affecting Fayette...Washington and
  Westmoreland Counties
  Monongahela River Near Elizabeth affecting Allegheny...Washington
  and Westmoreland Counties

.While the Monongahela River remains above flood stage at Charleroi
and Elizabeth, causing minor flooding. The Monongahela River has begun
falling. The Monongahela River river will slowly continue to fall over
the next few days, despite elevated reservoir and dam releases upstream.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SAFETY MESSAGE: Do not drive through flooded areas. The water may be
deeper than it appears. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio for later
developments.

* Until late tonight, or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 11:00 AM Thursday the stage was 32.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  tonight.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, Flooding is widspread in Fayette City.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
  tonight.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Industrial Chemical Corporation plant floods.
