Daily River Forecast

Past 24 hour precipitation...
Early Saturday morning there was 1 to 2 inches of rain in
portions of Cheat basin, but the rain ended in all areas
by late Saturday morning.

Forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours...
No precipitation is forecast for the next 48 hours.

River trends...
The Monongahela River flood crest is getting close to the Point at
Pittsburgh Sunday morning and this crest will slowly work its way down
the Ohio Sunday and into Monday.

River Flows on the Monongahela and Ohio River are very high and hazardous
for this time of the year.  River velocities on the Monongahela are nearly
4 mph and on the Ohio nearly 3 mph.

morning, and on an as needed basis in the evening. The latest
