THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS CONFIRMED A
TORNADO NEAR MINQUADALE IN NEW CASTLE COUNTY DELAWARE ON JULY 9
2015.

A EF-0 TORNADO WITH 65 MPH WINDS OCCURRED IN MINQUADALE, DE
BETWEEN 7:50 PM AND 7:55 PM LAST NIGHT. DAMAGE WAS REPORTED ON NEW
CASTLE AVENUE NEAR A TRAILER PARK. THE DAMAGE THEN EXTENDED
EASTWARD WITH A TELEPHONE POLE SHEERED OFF AND A TREE DOWN ON
REVIS AVENUE. FURTHER EAST, ADDITIONAL DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED ON
HARBOR VIEW DRIVE WHERE A WALL COLLAPSE OCCURRED WITH ROOF DAMAGE.
SEVERAL TREES WERE ALSO DOWN IN A DOCK VIEW DRIVE. THANK YOU TO
THE NEW CASTLE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. THANKS ALSO EXTEND TO THE
COUNTY SKYWARN COORDINATOR AND A SPOTTER FOR ASSISTANCE IN THIS
DETERMINATION OF A TORNADO. VIDEO FOOTAGE OF A FUNNEL CLOUD AND
RADAR DATA WERE ALSO USED IN THIS DETERMINATION.
