...NWS METEOROLOGISTS CURRENTLY SURVEYING STORM DAMAGE NEAR
GREENWOOD IN  SUSSEX COUNTY DELAWARE...

The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly NJ is
currently conducting a storm survey for the area near Greenwood
in Sussex County Delaware. The survey is in relation to the
severe thunderstorms that moved through the area last evening,
June 19 2017.

An initial assessment has revealed the damage near Ellendale
Delaware to be straight line wind damage with winds estimated to
be 75 to 85 mph.

Near Greenwood, there was tornadic damage embedded in the larger
straight line wind damage. The initial assessment is that the
tornado was an EF0.

A final assessment including details of the results of the survey
is expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public
Information Statement by 6 PM.
