...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MST TODAY...

* LOCATION...THE EAST SLOPES OF PIKES PEAK AND THE RAMPART
  RANGE...THE WETS AND SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS...THE WET
  MOUNTAIN VALLEY...AND THE I-25 CORRIDOR MAINLY ALONG AND WEST OF
  THE INTERSTATE.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A PACIFIC JET STREAM WILL CONTINUE TO FORCE
  STRONG WINDS DOWN THE EAST SLOPES OF THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE
  MORNING.

* WIND...WEST 30 TO 50 MPH GUSTING TO BETWEEN 60 AND 80 MPH...
  MAINLY WEST OF I-25.

* IMPACT...TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
  VEHICLES ON NORTH SOUTH RUNNING ROADS SUCH AS I-25 DUE TO
  STRONG WIND GUSTS AND FLYING DEBRIS. TREE DAMAGE...PROPERTY
  DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES WILL BE POSSIBLE. FLYING DEBRIS COULD
  CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IF POSSIBLE...AVOID TRAVEL DURING THE HIGH WIND EVENT. HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES TRAVELING THROUGH CROSSWINDS ARE AT PARTICULAR
RISK. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...KEEP A FIRM GRIP ON THE WHEEL AT ALL
TIMES AND BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN SHIFTS IN WIND SPEED OR
DIRECTION. WATCH FOR AND OBEY ANY TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS.
