* LOCATION...THE I-25 CORRIDOR SOUTH OF PUEBLO TO NEW MEXICO...
  THE WET MOUNTAINS AND THE SANGRE DE CRISTO MOUNTAINS...
  INCLUDING RYE...WALSENBURG...TRINIDAD...LA VETA PASS...RATON
  PASS AND PONCHA PASS.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A SERIES OF STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
  REGION INTO TONIGHT. GENERALLY LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TODAY WITH
  SNOW...MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES THEN ANTICIPATED FROM LATE
  TODAY INTO TONIGHT.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION...THE SOUTHERN I-25 CORRIDOR WILL SEE 6
  TO 10 INCHES OF TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION...WITH HEAVIER SNOW
  AMOUNTS NEAR THE MOUNTAINS. FOR THE MOUNTAINS...10 TO 18 INCHES
  ARE EXPECTED WITH LOCALLY HIGHER SNOW AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* WIND...EAST WIND 10 TO 25 MPH AT TIMES.

* IMPACT...TRAVEL WILL BE HAZARDOUS DUE TO HEAVY SNOW...POOR
  VISIBILITIES AND ICY OR SNOW COVERED ROADS.

WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH MONDAY
AFTERNOON.

* LOCATION...THE EASTERN SAWATCH MOUNTAINS ABOVE 11000
  FEET...SAGUACHE COUNTY WEST OF THE CONTINENTAL DIVIDE BELOW
  10000 FEET...THE LA GARITA MOUNTAINS ABOVE 10000 FEET...THE
  UPPER RIO GRANDE VALLEY BELOW 10000 FEET AND THE EASTERN SAN
  JUAN MOUNTAINS.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A SERIES OF STORM SYSTEMS ARE EXPECTED TO
  IMPACT THE WINTER STORM WATCH LOCATIONS FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON
  INTO AT LEAST MONDAY AFTERNOON. VERY HEAVY SNOW IN COMBINATION
  WITH STRONG WINDS AT TIMES ARE ANTICIPATED.

* TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATION...TWO TO THREE FEET OF SNOW IS EXPECTED
  WITH THIS EVENT...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER SNOW AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.

* WIND...WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS AT 15 TO 35 MPH...GUSTING IN
  EXCESS OF 50 MPH AT TIMES ARE ANTICIPATED.

* IMPACT...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW IS EXPECTED TO CREATE HAZARDOUS
  WEATHER AND TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR
SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS TO DEVELOP.

WINTER STORMS MAY HAVE STRONG WINDS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO
HEAVY SNOWFALL AND BLOWING SNOW. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF OVER
8 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAINS MAY OCCUR. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO
TRAVEL IN THE WATCH AREA DURING THE TIME OF THE WATCH...LISTEN TO
