...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has cancelled the Winter
Weather Advisory.

Light snow will continue for some areas in eastern Las Animas
county...however temperatures above freezing should limit
accumulations to an inch or two...mainly on grassy surfaces of
southern Las Animas county. Therefore the winter weather advisory
has been cancelled.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT TODAY...

* LOCATION...The Sangre De Cristo Mountains and the Wet Mountains
  including La Veta Pass.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A moist spring storm system will drift
  slowly east across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles into
  Kansas today.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...Additional accumulations 1 to 4 inches.

* IMPACT...Travel will be hazardous particularly over the higher
  elevations due to snow, and poor visibilities.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow are forecast
that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If
you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT
TODAY...

* LOCATION...The Wet Mountain valley...and Huerfano and western
  Las Animas Counties including Walsenburg and Trinidad.

* CAUSE AND TIMING...A moist spring storm system will drift
  slowly east across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles into
  Kansas today.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...Additional accumulations 1 to 3 inches with
  locally higher amounts near the mountains.

* WIND...Northeast 15 to 30 mph.

* IMPACT...Travel will be hazardous due to snow, low visibilities
  and slushy or snow covered roads.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
