300 PM EST FOR JOHNSTON...NORTHEASTERN MOORE...WAKE...DURHAM...
HARNETT AND LEE COUNTIES...

AT 228 PM EST...WIDESPREAD RAIN OF 1.5 TO 2.0 INCHES HAS FALLEN OVER
THE ADVISORY...WITH AS MUCH AS 2.5 INCHES ACROSS WAKE COUNTY.  WHILE
THE HEAVY RAIN HAS SHIFTED EAST OF THE ADVISORY AREA...LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT REPORTS LINGERING HIGH WATER CAUSING URBAN AND SMALL
STREAM FLOODING ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA. ADDITIONALLY...CRABTREE
CREEK NEAR OLD WAKE FOREST ROAD HAS RISEN OUT OF ITS BANKS. EXPECT
FLOOD WATERS TO GRADUALLY RECEDE OVER THE NEXT HOUR.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
