...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN GRANVILLE AND NORTHERN VANCE COUNTIES...

AT 1051 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED RAIN CONTINUING DUE TO
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAD
DIMINISHED BETWEEN 10 AM AND 1045 AM...BUT THEY WERE STILL
WIDESPREAD OVER THE AREA. OVER KERR LAKE...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE
DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THAT AROUND 2.5 INCHES OF RAIN FELL BETWEEN
10 AM AND 1045 AM.

EARLIER HEAVY RAIN TOWARD STOVALL IN NORTHEAST GRANVILLE COUNTY
LIKELY WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE FOR AT LEAST PONDING OF WATER ON
ROADS AND IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS DUE TO RUNOFF. AS A RESULT...THE
THREAT OF MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL
EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING INCLUDE STOVALL...JOHN H KERR
RESERVOIR...TUNGSTEN...KERR LAKE...AND BULLOCKSVILLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG
THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT
TO FLOODING. DRIVERS SHOULD USE EXTRA CAUTION AND AVOID LOCATIONS
WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
