* AS OF 115 AM EDT...HEAVY SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE
  INCREASED IN COVERAGE ACROSS THE NORTHEAST COASTAL PLAIN SINCE
  MIDNIGHT...AND ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH AT LEAST 300 AM
  THIS MORNING. UP TO AN INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN SINCE MIDNIGHT
  ACROSS PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN FRANKLIN...NORTHERN NASH...AND
  SOUTHERN HALIFAX COUNTIES. AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN
  WILL BE POSSIBLE...PRIMARILY IN AREAS REPEATEDLY AFFECTED BY HEAVY
  SHOWERS.

  THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 95 BETWEEN MILE MARKER 132 AND MILE
  MARKER 160.

* HEAVY RAINFALL AND MINOR FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHERN
  FRANKLIN COUNTY...CENTRAL AND NORTHERN NASH COUNTY...SOUTHERN
  HALIFAX COUNTY...AND NORTHERN EDGECOMBE COUNTY THROUGH 400 AM THIS
  MORNING. THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 95 BETWEEN MILE MARKER 132 IN
  CENTRAL NASH COUNTY AND MILE MARKER 160 IN NORTHERN HALIFAX COUNTY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES AND RESULT IN STANDING
WATER ON AREA ROADS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND LEAVE PLENTY
OF FOLLOWING DISTANCE...ESPECIALLY ON HIGHWAYS AND INTERSTATES WHERE
HYDROPLANING CAN RESULT IN RAPID LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
