THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  CENTRAL JOHNSTON COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA...

* UNTIL 930 PM EDT

* AT 750 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SLOW MOVING SHOWERS AND
  THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAINFALL OVER CENTRAL JOHNSTON
  COUNTY. MORE THAN ONE INCH OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN ALONG AND
  JUST WEST OF INTERSTATE 95 ACROSS PORTIONS OF SMITHFIELD AND
  SELMA. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH 900 PM,
  ESPECIALLY ALONG THE INTERSTATE 95 CORRIDOR BETWEEN MILE MARKER 90
  AND MILE MARKER 102.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  SMITHFIELD...MICRO...SELMA...AND PINE LEVEL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
