THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RALEIGH HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  WAKE COUNTY IN CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA...

* UNTIL 1245 PM EDT

* AT 1049 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY
  AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN. RAINFALL RATES
  ARE EXTREMELY HEAVY WITH THESE STORMS... CAUSING PERIODS OF NEAR
  ZERO VISIBILITY AND STANDING WATER ON ROADS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  RALEIGH...CARY...WAKE FOREST...GARNER...FUQUAY-VARINA...ZEBULON...
  RDU INTERNATIONAL... BRIER CREEK AREA... APEX...HOLLY SPRINGS AND
  MORRISVILLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES. IT TAKES ONLY A FEW
INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES AWAY.
