...PATCHY DENSE FOG IN SECTIONS OF THE COASTAL PLAIN THIS
MORNING...

PATCHES OF DENSE FOG HAVE DEVELOPED OVER SECTIONS OF THE COASTAL
PLAIN EARLY THIS MORNING. THE FOG HAS REDUCED THE VISIBILITY TO
LESS THAN A COUPLE HUNDRED FEET IN PARTS OF HALIFAX AND EDGECOMBE
COUNTIES. SPOTTY DENSE FOG WILL ALSO LIKELY BE FOUND NEAR ROCKY
MOUNT...WILSON AND GOLDSBORO.

DUE TO THE SPORADIC NATURE OF THE DENSE FOG...MOTORISTS WILL
ENCOUNTER RAPID CHANGES IN THE VISIBILITY. WHEN TRAVELING THROUGH
FOGGY AREAS...MOTORISTS SHOULD SLOW DOWN AND USE YOUR LOW BEAM
HEADLIGHTS AS HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS PRODUCE EXTRA GLARE.

THE PATCHY FOG WILL LIFT AND DISSIPATE BY 9 AM.
