...A SLOW-MOVING THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN WILL AFFECT
PORTIONS OF SCOTLAND AND RICHMOND COUNTIES UNTIL 315 PM EDT...

AT 215 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
SLOW-MOVING THUNDERSTORM NEAR HOFFMAN...OR 10 MILES EAST OF
ROCKINGHAM. THIS STORM IS NEARLY STATIONARY AND HAS ALREADY PRODUCED
OVER AN INCH AND A HALF OF RAINFALL IN THE PAST HOUR. ANOTHER ONE TO
TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
CAMP MACKALL AND SANDHILLS GAME LAND.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM...AND MAY LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY REDUCE VISIBILITY AND RESULT IN
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE
EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.

VERY HEAVY RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THIS
STORM. PROLONGED HEAVY RAIN WILL RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER ON
ROADWAYS...STANDING WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS...AND MINOR FLOODING OF
CREEKS AND STREAMS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA
CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
