...A line of strong thunderstorms will affect portions of west
central Johnston...eastern Chatham...west central Franklin...western
Vance...Durham...Harnett...Wake...eastern Person...Granville and
Cumberland Counties through 345 AM EDT...

At 315 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms, extending from near Rougemont to near Rockfish and
Hope Mills. Movement was northeast at 60 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms as they
move through the eastern Piedmont and Sandhills.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville, Cary, Henderson, Oxford, Creedmoor,
Lillington, Fort Bragg and Wake Forest.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter in a nearby building or vehicle. Wind gusts as high as
50 mph are capable of knocking down small or weakened trees and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture and other
light outdoor objects.
