DAVIDSON...NORTHWESTERN ORANGE...ALAMANCE...WESTERN
CHATHAM...NORTHEASTERN STANLY... NORTHWESTERN MOORE AND MONTGOMERY
COUNTIES THROUGH THE MORNING RUSH HOUR...

AT 724 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING AN AREA OF SLOW MOVING
SHOWERS ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF THE NC PIEDMONT,
NEAR ASHEBORO AND EAST OF RANDLEMAN...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 15 MPH.
THESE AREAS ARE SEEING AS MUCH AS ONE TO ONE AND ONE HALF INCHES PER
HOUR, WITH SOME LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS NEAR TWO INCHES IN SOME
SPOTS. AN ADDITIONAL HALF TO ONE INCH IS POSSIBLE.

HEAVY RAIN AND MINOR FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

GREENSBORO...HIGH POINT...BURLINGTON...ASHEBORO...ALBEMARLE...
GRAHAM...RANDLEMAN...TROY...SILER CITY AND BADIN LAKE.

DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID
HYDROPLANING...ESPECIALLY IN URBAN AREAS WHERE PROLONGED HEAVY RAIN
CAN QUICKLY LEAD TO FLOODING.
