...Patchy dense fog this morning across the Piedmont...

Pockets of dense fog have developed over sections of the Piedmont
of central North Carolina this morning. the dense fog was reducing
the visibility to less than a quarter of a mile. the fog appears
to be thickest along a stretch of highway 64 between Pittsboro and
Asheboro, as well as in vicinity of Albemarle.

Motorists encountering the thick fog should reduce their speed
and utilize their vehicle`s low beam headlights. Be especially
cautious in and near school zones and bus stops. Watch for
flashing yellow or red signals on school buses and be on the
lookout for school children.

Visibilities are expected to slowly improve after 10 AM.
