...SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING TOWARD THE
WESTERN PIEDMONT OF CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA...

SCATTERED STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE CROSSING THE
NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CAROLINA EARLY THIS EVENING. THESE
STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 40 MPH. BASED ON THEIR
CURRENT TRACK AND IF THEY HOLD TOGETHER...A FEW OF THE STORMS WILL
CROSS INTO THE NORTHWEST AND SOUTHERN PIEDMONT OF CENTRAL NORTH
CAROLINA BETWEEN 9 AND 10 PM.

PEOPLE NEAR ALBEMARLE...LEXINGTON...CLEMMONS...WINSTON-SALEM...AND
HIGH ROCK LAKE NEED TO KEEP ABREAST OF THE LOCAL WEATHER
CONDITIONS. DUE TO THE STORMS FAST MOVEMENT...BOATERS ON HIGH ROCK
LAKE NEED TO SEEK SAFE HARBOR AT THE FIRST SIGN OF APPROACHING BAD
WEATHER. THE STRONGER STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING HAIL TO
THE SIZE OF GOLF BALLS AND DAMAGING WINDS.
