...Strong thunderstorms approaching Winston-Salem from the
northwest...

At 327 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
extending from Yadkinville to Pilot Mountain... moving east-
southeast at 10 mph.

These storms should affect northwest and west-central Forsyth County
through 400 PM, possibly reaching Winston-Salem by 400 PM.

Frequent lightning... very heavy rain... and wind gusts to 50 mph
will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
north west Winston-Salem, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Lewisville, Rural
Hall, Stanleyville, Pfafftown and Belews Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter in a nearby building or vehicle. Wind gusts as high as
50 mph are capable of knocking down small or weakened trees and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture and other
light outdoor objects.
