WAYNE...NORTHEASTERN SAMPSON AND SOUTHEASTERN JOHNSTON COUNTIES
UNTIL 430 PM EDT...

AT 335 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STRONG THUNDERSTORM 7 MILES SOUTHEAST OF SMITHFIELD...MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 10 MPH. OTHER STORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WERE OCCURRING
NEAR GOLDSBORO AND NEAR MOUNT OLIVE.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THE STORMS ALONG WITH
RAINFALL RATES OF ONE TO ONE AND HALF INCHES PER HOUR.

GOLDSBORO...MOUNT OLIVE...FREMONT...WALNUT CREEK...PRINCETON...
PIKEVILLE...EUREKA...SEVEN SPRINGS...ELROY AND CLIFFS OF THE NEUSE
STATE PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY REDUCE VISIBILITY AND RESULT IN
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE
EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
