WAYNE COUNTY UNTIL 1115 AM EDT...

AT 1049 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
THUNDERSTORM WITH WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH NEAR FREMONT...OR 10
MILES NORTHEAST OF GOLDSBORO. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
EUREKA.

IN ADDITION TO THE GUSTY WINDS...RAINFALL OF A HALF-INCH IN A HALF-
HOUR OR LESS IS LIKELY WITH THE THUNDERSTORM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY BUILDING OR VEHICLE. WIND GUSTS AS HIGH AS
40 MPH ARE CAPABLE OF BLOWING AROUND LIGHTWEIGHT OBJECTS LEFT
OUTDOORS. ALSO...LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY REDUCE VISIBILITY
AND RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO
SLOW DOWN AND USE EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
