STANLY...WESTERN MOORE AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES UNTIL 1045 AM EDT...

AT 947 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING AN AREA OF SHOWERS AND
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM NEAR MONROETON TO 8
MILES NORTHWEST OF CHESTERFIELD. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

HEAVY RAIN IS ALSO EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
GREENSBORO...BURLINGTON...ASHEBORO...GRAHAM...ROCKINGHAM...WADESBORO...
RANDLEMAN...TROY...SILER CITY AND NORTH CAROLINA ZOO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS...AND MAY LEAD
TO LOCALIZED FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOODED
ROADWAYS.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY REDUCE VISIBILITY AND RESULT IN
PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO SLOW DOWN AND USE
EXTRA CAUTION TO AVOID HYDROPLANING.
