...Scattered strong thunderstorms with gusty winds and small hail
will affect portions of Richmond... central Anson...Randolph...Moore
and Montgomery Counties Until 1100 PM EDT...

At 1003 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles southeast of
Thomasville to near Troy to near Wadesboro. Movement was east at 35
mph.

Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 45 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
High Point, Asheboro, Southern Pines, Rockingham, Wadesboro,
Randleman, Troy, Carthage, North Carolina Zoo and Pinehurst.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Wind gusts as high as 45 mph are capable of knocking down tree limbs
and small or weakened trees. They can also blow around trash cans,
potted plants, lawn furniture and other light outdoor objects.
