...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN RANDOLPH AND SOUTHWESTERN GUILFORD COUNTIES...

At 826 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near High Point,
moving north at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Greensboro, High Point, Randleman, Thomasville, Archdale, Trinity,
Pleasant Garden, Jamestown, Randleman Regional Reservior Marina and
Oak Hollow Marina.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Straight line winds can blow down trees, power lines, and damage
mobile homes and other buildings. Seek shelter in a sturdy structure
until the storm has passed. Stay away from windows as flying debris
generated by damaging winds can be deadly.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
