...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EASTERN WASHAKIE AND SOUTHEASTERN
BIG HORN COUNTIES UNTIL 445 PM MDT...

AT 401 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR WAS TRACKING AN AREA OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS OVER SOUTHEAST WASHAKIE COUNTY AND ALONG THE SPINE OF
THE BIGHORN MOUNTAINS. THESE STORMS WERE GENERALLY MOVING NORTHWEST
AROUND 10 MPH.

RAINFALL OF ONE-HALF INCH IN 20 MINUTES IS POSSIBLE WITH THE
STRONGEST STORMS. THIS COULD CAUSE DRY WASHES AND SMALL CREEKS TO
QUICKLY FILL WITH RUN-OFF FROM THE HEAVY RAIN. FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND WIND GUSTS TO 40 MPH ARE ALSO LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS...AND MAY LEAD TO
FLASH FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOODED ROADWAYS.

FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS.
LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE 15 MILES AWAY FROM A THUNDERSTORM. SEEK A SAFE
SHELTER INSIDE A BUILDING OR VEHICLE.
