...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...

At 450 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Gardiner to Osprey Falls to 10 miles
southwest of Divide Lake. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Mammoth, Osprey Falls, Swan Lake, Willow Park and Obsidian Cliff
  around 455 PM MDT.
  Blacktail Pond around 505 PM MDT.
  Phantom Lake around 515 PM MDT.
  Tower Junction, Floating Island Lake and Lost Lake around 520 PM
  MDT.
  Cache Lake and Gallatin Lake around 530 PM MDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Roosevelt Lodge,
Indian Creek Campground, Tower Fall Campground and Lava Creek
Campgrounds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
