...LATE SUMMER SNOWSTORM ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHERN WYOMING TODAY...

.THE SECOND PORTION OF A POTENT LATE SUMMER WINTER STORM WILL
CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE AREA TODAY. LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINA ND SNOW
MIX OR ALL SNOW WILL RAPIDLY EXPAND ACROSS NORTHERN WYOMING
THROUGH THE DAY. SNOW LEVELS HAVE LOWERED TO NEAR VALLEY FLOOR.
ROADS WERE BECOMING SLUSHY OR SNOWPACKED OVER CHIEF JOSEPHS
HIGHWAY...AND ALSO OVER POWDER RIVER PASS AND GRANITE PASS OVER
THE BIGHORN RANGE. SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO OVER THE BIGHORN AND
ABSAROKA MOUNTAINS TODAY. RAIN MIXED WITH SNOW AT TIMES WILL
CHANGE TO ALL SNOW ACROSS THE LOWER ELEVATIONS BY MID MORNING. THE
HEAVIEST SNOWFALL EXPECTED ACROSS NORTHEAST JOHNSON COUNTY
THIS MORNING. SNOWFALL WILL WEAKEN DURING THIS AFTERNOON...ENDING
QUICKLY BY THE EVENING HOURS.

  BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES. PERIODS OF HEAVY SNOWFALL ARE ANTICIPATED
  THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. THE STORM WILL BEGIN TO WEAKEN DURING THE
  AFTERNOON HOURS...WITH SNOW ENDING BY THE EVENING HOURS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...5 TO 10 INCHES WITH LOCALLY UP TO A FOOT
  ACROSS THE BEARTOOTH PLATEAU AND BEARTOOTH PASS AREA.

* WIND AND VISIBILITY...NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH VISIBILITIES
  UNDER ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...BEARTOOTH PASS WILL LIKELY RECEIVE SIGNIFICANT SNOW
