Flows and runoff from previous rains will continue to slow into today. Most
rivers have crested or will crest this morning...and slowly start to fall.
Except for the Ohio River...which will continue to rise into today.

Backwater flooding can be expected along the rivers and their
tributaries until they start to recede and fall below flood stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around and don`t drown.  Do not drive into areas where
water is flowing over the roadway.  Most deaths occur when motorists
try crossing flooded roads.

calling toll free...1-800-401-9535...when you can do so safely.

  afternoon.
* At stages near 46.0 feet...Businesses South of Route 40(Virginia street) on
  Wayne and Cabell Streets affected.
* A crest near 47.3 feet compares to a previous crest of 46.3 feet on February 17

  backwater.

* Flood stage is 54.0 feet.
* Forecast...rise above flood stage by this morning and continue to rise to near
  55.9 feet by after midnight . the river will fall below flood stage by early
  afternoon Saturday .
* At stages near 56.0 feet...Several low lying areas flooded and backwater
  affects on both sides of the river.
* A crest near 55.9 feet compares to a previous crest of 56.8 feet on March 13
  2011.

* At stages near 15.0 feet...About ten homes along river street are flooded.
* A crest near  feet compares to a previous crest of 15.2 feet on December 8
  2013.
