...The flood warning is cancelled for the following rivers...Elk River.
  At Queen Shoals...

 Affecting the following counties in West Virginia...Kanawha.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


Turn around and don`t drown.  Do not drive into areas where
water is flowing over the roadway.  Most deaths occur when motorists
try crossing flooded roads.

This is the last statement...unless unexpected changes occur.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Elk River At Queen Shoals.
* AT 8 PM Friday the stage was 18.1 feet.
* fell below flood stage at 7:31 PM Friday.
* Flood stage is 19 feet.
* Forecast...the river will continue to recede. The rate of fall may decrease
  late tonight or early Saturday due to due releases from Sutton Dam.
* The crest at Queen Shoals was 33.37 feet around 5:45 AM Friday morning June 24th.
  The old record was 32 feet back in 1888. This applies to the Clendenin reach of
  the Elk River...not the mouth of the Elk River in Charleston.
