FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SW VA...SE WV AND NW NC
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA
336 PM EST MON DEC 22 2014

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE WEDGED AGAINST THE EASTERN FACE OF THE APPALACHIANS
WILL RESULT IN POOR VENTILATION AND DISPERSION CONDITIONS THROUGH
TUESDAY. RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL REMAIN HIGH WITH DRIZZLE AND
FOG...AND MORE IN THE WAY OF TANGIBLE WETTING PRECIPITATION TONIGHT.

WIDESPREAD RAINFALL WILL DEVELOP TUESDAY NIGHT AS A DEEP LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM LIFTS NORTHWARD FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO. THE LOW
WILL DRAG A VERY STRONG COLD FRONT THROUGH THE AREA ON WEDNESDAY
EVENING...BRINGING LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN AND GUSTY WINDS TO THE AREA.
HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN BUILD OVER THE EASTERN UNITED STATES WITH
FAIR AND SEASONABLE WEATHER THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK.
