At 426 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heavy rain the occurred earlier this morning has ended across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain has fallen. Even though the heavy rain has ended, run off from the early heavy rainfall will continue early this morning. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Monett, Cassville, Purdy, Seligman, Exeter, Wheaton, Washburn, Fairview, Shell Knob, Butterfield, Golden, Emerald Beach, Eagle Rock, Pioneer, Stella, Chain-O-Lakes, Arrow Point, Wayne, Mcdowell, Ridgley, Pleasant Ridge, Jenkins, Madry, Wheelerville, Table Rock Lake and Roaring River State Park. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles.
