...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1045 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Brown, McCulloch and San Saba.

* WHEN...Until 1045 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 738 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms...from just east of Brady to Voca, Skeetervile
    to Locker, from Trickham to Brownwood to Blanket...moving
    northeast at 15 mph. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to
    begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Brownwood, Brady, Early, Richland Springs, Bangs, Blanket,
    Elm Grove, Mercury, Winchell, Skeeterville, Brookesmith,
    Placid, Camp Bowie, Rochelle, Sloan, Zephyr, Lake Brownwood,
    Lake Brownwood Near Thrifty, Lake Brownwood State Park and
    Voca.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Cordell at Anderson, Gifford at Beaver, Willis at Belmeade,
    Belle Plain at Romines, South Blackburn between Adkins and
    13th, Good Shephard at 11th, White Street at Live Oak Creek,
    4th Street at Wood, Magnolia at Belmeade and Indian Creek at
    9th.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
