NORTHWESTERN TOOELE COUNTIES UNTIL 715 PM MDT...

AT 626 PM MDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES
NORTHWEST OF JUNIPER TO 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF DELLE TO 10 MILES
NORTHEAST OF WENDOVER...AND MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

PEA SIZE HAIL AND WINDS OF 40 TO 55 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE. THESE
STORMS HAVE A HISTORY OF PRODUCING GUSTY WINDS AND SMALL HAIL ALONG
WITH COPIOUS LIGHTNING.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... THE WEST DESERT INCLUDING STATE ROUTE
30...INTERSTATE 80 ACROSS TOOELE COUNTY...THE SALT FLATS...AND THE
GREAT SALT LAKE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES...TAKE SHELTER IN A STURDY
BUILDING.

IF ON OR NEAR THE GREAT SALT LAKE...GET OUT OF THE WATER AND MOVE
INDOORS OR INSIDE A VEHICLE. REMEMBER...LIGHTNING CAN STRIKE OUT TO
15 MILES FROM THE PARENT THUNDERSTORM. IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER...YOU
ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. MOVE TO SAFE SHELTER
NOW. DO NOT BE CAUGHT ON THE WATER IN A THUNDERSTORM.
