THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS CANCELLED THE
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.

OCCASIONAL SNOW THIS MORNING WILL GENERATE LITTLE ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATION. WEST WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF
OF UINTA COUNTY MAY STILL CREATE ISOLATED AREAS OF BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW THIS MORNING.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS OF
  NORTHERN UTAH.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATION RANGING FROM 1
  TO 2 FEET...WITH GREATER AMOUNTS IN THE UPPER COTTONWOODS.

* TIMING...AN AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
  WARNED AREA THIS MORNING. SNOW WILL DECREASE IN AREAL COVERAGE
  AND INTENSITY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THIS EVENING. THE LAST
  PIECE OF THIS WINTER STORM WILL ARRIVE LATE TONIGHT. PERIODS OF
  HEAVY SNOW WILL DEVELOP AGAIN ACROSS THE NORTHERN WASATCH RANGE
  LATE TONIGHT...THEN SPREAD SOUTH AND EAST MONDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...PERIODS OF STRONG WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS...GUSTING IN
  EXCESS OF 50 MPH ALONG EXPOSED RIDGELINES...ARE POSSIBLE AT
  TIMES THIS MORNING AND AGAIN LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY. THESE
  WINDS WILL RESULT IN CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF NEW
  SNOW.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS WINTER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED ACROSS THE
  WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAINS TONIGHT INTO MONDAY. THIS
  WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ON ALL ROUTES THROUGH THESE MOUNTAINS
  INCLUDING I-80 AND US-89. THOSE CONTEMPLATING TRAVEL OR
  OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE PREPARED AND PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS A MIXTURE OF HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG
WIND IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. DRIVING CONDITIONS MAY BE
HAZARDOUS. USE CAUTION. BE PREPARED FOR SUDDEN RESTRICTIONS IN
VISIBILITY DUE TO BLOWING SNOW. KEEP A WINTER STORM SURVIVAL KIT
IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND THE WASATCH
  PLATEAU AND BOOK CLIFFS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL WILL RANGE BETWEEN 6
  AND 12 INCHES...WITH GREATER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE IN THE OGDEN
  VALLEY. ACCUMULATIONS ALONG THE WASATCH PLATEAU WILL RANGE
  BETWEEN 8 AND 16 INCHES THROUGH MONDAY.

* TIMING...A PERIOD OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW WILL IMPACT THE
  ADVISORY AREA THIS MORNING. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF FOR THIS
  AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TONIGHT. THE LAST PIECE OF THIS WEEKENDS
  WINTER STORM WILL BRING MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL BACK TO THE
  AREA LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF
  QUICKLY MONDAY EVENING.

* WINDS...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE AT TIMES OVER OPEN
  TERRAIN THROUGH THIS MORNING. THESE WINDS WILL RESULT IN LOCAL
  AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF NEW SNOW.

* IMPACTS...WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED AT TIMES
  ACROSS THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS AND THE WASATCH PLATEAU
  TONIGHT INTO MONDAY. THIS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ON ALL ROUTES
  THROUGH THESE AREAS INCLUDING I-80...US-40 AND US-6. THOSE
  CONTEMPLATING TRAVEL OR OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE PREPARED

* TIMING...LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL PERSIST THROUGH EARLY THIS
  AFTERNOON. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DECREASE IN INTENSITY AND AREAL
  COVERAGE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

* WINDS...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE THIS MORNING. THESE
  WINDS WILL RESULT IN AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW THROUGH
  OPEN OR EXPOSED TERRAIN.

* IMPACTS...WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED OVERNIGHT
  THROUGH SUNDAY. THIS WILL IMPACT TRAVEL ALONG I-70 AND OTHER
  ROUTES THROUGH THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS.
