...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MST THIS
EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MST THIS EVENING.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE NORTHERN WASATCH MOUNTAINS OF UTAH.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO 2 INCHES IN THE BEAR RIVER VALLEY AND
  4 TO 7 INCHES AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW EARLY THIS MORNING WILL INCREASE IN
  INTENSITY DURING THE MORNING. MODERATE TO OCCASIONALLY HEAVY
  SNOW WILL CONTINUE DURING THE AFTERNOON...THEN TAPER OFF THIS
  EVENING.

* SNOW LEVELS...ALL ELEVATIONS THIS MORNING. SNOW LEVELS WILL
  GRADUALLY RISE TO NEAR 7500 FEET DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

* WINDS...WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THE
  25 TO 35 MPH RANGE...WITH GUSTS APPROACHING 70 MPH ALONG EXPOSED
  OR OPEN TERRAIN.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF ACCUMULATING ROAD SNOW AND STRONG
  WINDS CREATING AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING WILL LEAD TO HAZARDOUS
  DRIVING CONDITIONS ACROSS THE HIGHER PASSES THROUGH EARLY THIS
  EVENING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED
DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN
TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY THROUGH THE HIGHER MOUNTAIN PASSES.
