.THE NEXT COLD PACIFIC STORM SYSTEM WILL ARRIVE OVER UTAH LATE IN
THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. THIS STORM WILL REACH THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
SATURDAY EVENING...THEN CONTINUE SOUTHEAST INTO NORTHERN UTAH
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT. SNOW WILL DEVELOP OVER FAR NORTHERN UTAH
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...THEN SPREAD SOUTH ACROSS MOST OF NORTHERN
UTAH DURING THE DAY SUNDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SALT LAKE CITY HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SATURDAY NIGHT
THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE WASATCH AND WESTERN UINTA MOUNTAIN
  RANGES...THE WASATCH MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 8 TO 16 INCHES
  IN THE MOUNTAINS...3 TO 8 INCHES IN THE MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL REACH THE NORTHERN WASATCH RANGE AFTER
  MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY NIGHT. THIS SNOW WILL INCREASE IN INTENSITY
  AS IT ACROSS SOUTH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.
  SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...THEN GRADUALLY TAPER
  OFF BEGINNING ON MONDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST WINDS 20 TO 30 MPH WITH STRONGER GUSTS WILL
  DEVELOP ON SUNDAY AND CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING BEFORE
  DECREASING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADWAYS WILL EXIST AT ALL ELEVATIONS
  WITH THIS STORM. SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL IMPACTS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO
  ACCUMULATING ROAD SNOW ALONG WITH AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING
  SNOW IN WIND PRONE AREAS.

* AFFECTED AREA...THE CACHE VALLEY...THEN NORTHERN WASATCH
  FRONT...THE SALT LAKE AND TOOELE VALLEYS.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES
  WITH LOCALLY GREATER AMOUNT EXPECTED THROUGH THE BENCH AND
  FOOTHILL AREAS.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE NORTHERN WASATCH
  FRONT AND CACHE VALLEY LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...THEN SPREAD SOUTH
  AND TURN HEAVY AT TIMES ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA SUNDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...COLD SURFACE TEMPERATURES WILL ALLOW SNOW TO
  ACCUMULATE QUICKLY ON ROAD SURFACES. SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL IMPACTS
  ARE ANTICIPATED ACROSS ALL ROUTES THROUGH THE WATCH AREA.
