...LINGERING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ACROSS FLORIDA...

...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL POSSIBLE ACROSS THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST...

...WELL ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ACROSS THE
INTERIOR U.S....

AS THE STRONG COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS FLORIDA ON TUESDAY, IT IS
EXPECTED TO SLOW AND STALL NEAR SOUTH FLORIDA BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
EASTERLY WINDS WILL TRANSFER TROPICAL MOISTURE OVER THE STATE; AS
THE MOISTURE INTERACTS WITH INSTABILITY, SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH MOST OF THE WEEK. MOST OF THE
HEAVIER RAINFALL TO BE ALONG THE ATLANTIC COAST OF
FLORIDA--ESPECIALLY IN BETWEEN JACKSONVILLE AND MELBOURNE. SOME
OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY DOWNPOURS
WHICH COULD LEAD TO LOCALIZED FLOODING.

A STORMY PATTERN WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST
DURING THE SHORT TERM PERIOD AS A SERIES OF FRONTAL SYSTEMS WILL
KEEP PRECIPITATION IN THE FORECAST. IN ADDITION, SNOWFALL CAN BE
EXPECTED ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE CASCADES. BY
THURSDAY, AS PRECIPITATION SPREADS SOUTHWARD IN NORTHERN
CALIFORNIA--SOME OF THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN THIS PORTION OF THE
STATE COULD SEE LIGHT SNOWFALL ALSO. A MARGINAL RISK OF FLASH
FLOODING IN THE WESTERN PORTION OF WASHINGTON IS POSSIBLE WITH THE
LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED ALONG A COLD FRONT MOVING OVER THE
PACIFIC NORTHWEST ON THURSDAY MORNING.

SPRAWLING HIGH PRESSURE ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND EASTERN U.S. WILL
KEEP CONDITIONS DRY FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK. HIGH TEMPERATURES IN
THE NORTHERN PLAINS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE MID TO UPPER 70S ON
TUESDAY WHICH IS 10-15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THESE DRY AND WARM
CONDITIONS WILL FUEL CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ACROSS THE
HIGH PLAINS ON TUESDAY. A SWIFT MOVING COLD FRONT WILL BRING
TEMPERATURES BACK DOWN TO NORMAL ON WEDNESDAY; HOWEVER, BY
THURSDAY THE HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL REBOUND BACK TO THE UPPER 70S.
NEW ENGLAND WILL ALSO EXPERIENCE HIGH TEMPERATURES NEAR 70
DEGREES ON THURSDAY--WHICH IS 10-15 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.
