...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN SHAWNEE...
NORTHWESTERN DOUGLAS AND NORTHERN OSAGE COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM
CDT...

At 346 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Scranton, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
         around unsecured objects. Minor damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Topeka, Carbondale, Tecumseh, Richland, Auburn, Overbrook, Lyndon,
Burlingame, Scranton, Lecompton, Pauline, and Berryton.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 between mile markers 354 and 355.
 Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 163 and 196.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for northeastern
and east central Kansas.
