At 428 AM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in southeast
Oklahoma and also north of I44 and west of highway 75. They were
most widespread and heaviest in Choctaw, Pushmataha and Osage
counties in Oklahoma and was more widespread in northeast Texas and
far southwest Arkasas. Movement was to the northeast at around 10
mph. The average amount where it rained last hour was one tenth to
one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two to two and a half
inches. Coverage, and intensity increased during the last hour. The
Tulsa area forecast for late tonight and early this morning,
occasional showers with thunderstorms likely with heavy rainfall and
temperatures 59 to 64 degrees along with northeast winds 5 to 10
mph.
