.ELEVATED SWELLS WITH ADEQUATELY LONG PERIODS WILL MAINTAIN A
HIGH RISK FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS ALONG
GULF-FACING BEACHES OF THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST TODAY. ALSO, TIDE
LEVELS HAVE INCREASED AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT. MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW
WILL BE POSSIBLE AROUND THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE THIS MORNING FOR THE
COASTLINE FROM PORT ARANSAS TO BAFFIN BAY.

COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY, WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY.

* COASTAL FLOODING...PRIMARILY FOR GULF FACING BEACHES FROM PORT
  ARANSAS SOUTH TO BAFFIN BAY.

* TIMING...FOR RIP CURRENTS, THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING. FOR
  COASTAL FLOODING, THROUGH THIS MORNING.

* IMPACTS...STRONG AND POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING RIP CURRENTS
  WILL OCCUR ALONG GULF FACING BEACHES OF THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST.
  THE SURF WILL REMAIN DANGEROUS FOR ALL LEVELS OF SWIMMERS. MINOR
  TIDAL OVERFLOW WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING AROUND THE TIME OF
  HIGH TIDE AND FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE MORNING. HIGH TIDE AT
  PORT ARANSAS IS AT 615 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SWIM NEAR A LIFEGUARD. IF CAUGHT IN A RIP CURRENT, RELAX AND
FLOAT. DON`T SWIM AGAINST THE CURRENT. IF ABLE, SWIM IN A
DIRECTION FOLLOWING THE SHORELINE. IF UNABLE TO ESCAPE, FACE THE
SHORE AND CALL OR WAVE FOR HELP.

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
