...MINOR LAKESHORE FLOODING EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON...

.STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS IN THE WAKE OF A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH
WATER INTO AREAS OUTSIDE THE HURRICANE PROTECTION SYSTEM...MAINLY
ALONG THE LAKEFRONT OF NEW ORLEANS AND THE LOWEST LYING AREAS OF
HIGHWAY 90 NEAR BLIND LAGOON AND HIGHWAY 11.

...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM CDT THIS
AFTERNOON...

* COASTAL/LAKESHORE FLOODING...STRONG NORTH WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH
  WITH HIGHER GUSTS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE EARLY
  AFTERNOON HOURS ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN.
  THE COMBINATION OF THESE STRONG NORTH WINDS AND HIGH TIDES WILL
  CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OUTSIDE THE HURRICANE LEVEE PROTECTION
  ALONG THE NEW ORLEANS LAKEFRONT AND THE FAR EASTERN PORTION OF
  ORLEANS PARISH.

* TIMING...THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...MOST OR ALL SECTIONS OF LAKESHORE DRIVE OUTSIDE OF
  THE HURRICANE LEVEE PROTECTION SYSTEM MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE AT
  TIMES. LOW LYING AREAS AND ROADWAYS OF EASTERN ORLEANS PARISH
  NOT PROTECTED BY HURRICANE LEVEES MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE AT
  TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
