KOSRAE-
249 PM CHST WED FEB 10 2016

...A HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT ALONG NORTH AND EAST
FACING SHORES...

HAZARDOUS SURF OF 8 TO 9 FEET WILL LINGER ALONG NORTH AND EAST
FACING SHORES TONIGHT BEFORE FALLING BELOW ADVISORY LEVELS
THURSDAY AFTERNOON.

AVOID VENTURING NEAR EXPOSED REEFS AND BEACHES...ESPECIALLY THOSE
FACING NORTH AND EAST...AS RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LIFE THREATENING.

MAJURO-
249 PM CHST WED FEB 10 2016

...THE HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS NOW CANCELLED...

SATELLITE WAVE HEIGHT DATA AND WW3 GUIDANCE INDICATE THAT SEAS
HAVE DECREASED TO 8 TO 9 FEET...BRINGING SURF HEIGHTS BELOW
HAZARDOUS LEVELS. SURF HEIGHTS OF 9 TO 11 FEET THIS EVENING ARE
EXPECTED TO FALL TO BETWEEN 8 AND 10 FEET AFTER MIDNIGHT AND
PERSIST THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

AS SEA HEIGHTS DECREASE AND KING TIDES DIMINISH...THE POTENTIAL
FOR COASTAL INUNDATION WILL DIMINISH AS WELL...AND SIGNIFICANT
INUNDATION IS NO LONGER EXPECTED.

WHILE SURF IS NO LONGER ABOVE HAZARDOUS THRESHOLDS...CAUTION IS
STILL NEEDED ALONG EXPOSED REEFS AND BEACHES...ESPECIALLY THOSE
FACING EAST...AS STRONG CURRENTS MAY STILL OCCUR.
