...2013 WAS A COOLER AND DRIER THAN NORMAL YEAR IN KINGMAN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR 2013 FOR KINGMAN WAS 61.8 DEGREES WHICH
TIED WITH 1940, 1968 AND 2010 FOR THE 26TH COOLEST YEAR EVER ON
RECORD. THE AVERAGE LOW OF 47.1 DEGREES RANKED AS THE 19TH COOLEST
ON RECORD WHILE THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 76.5 DEGREES TIED
WITH 1961 FOR THE 32ND COOLEST EVER. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE OF THE
YEAR WAS 112 DEGREES ON JUNE 29TH WHICH SET A NEW ALL-TIME RECORD
HIGH FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE. THIS BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD ALL-TIME
HIGH FOR JUNE OF 110 DEGREES SET ON JUNE 16, 1917, JUNE 29, 1924 AND
JUNE 28, 2013. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 3 DAYS OF 110 DEGREES OR
GREATER RECORDED ALL YEAR AND ALL 3 WERE IN JUNE WHICH BROKE THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 1 DAY SET IN 1917 AND TIED IN 1924. FOR THE YEAR
THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 28 DAYS WITH A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 100 DEGREES
OR GREATER. BY CONTRAST, THE COLDEST TEMPERATURE OF THE YEAR WAS 10
DEGREES ON JANUARY 13TH. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 12 DAYS WITH A LOW
BELOW 20 DEGREES, WHICH RANKED AS THE HIGHEST TOTAL FOR ANY YEAR
SINCE 1990. ONLY 1937 AND 1949 RANK HIGHER WITH A TOTAL OF 16 SUCH

BETWEEN JUNE AND SEPTEMBER, THE YEARLY PRECIPITATION TOTAL STILL
FINISHED BELOW NORMAL. SEPTEMBER WAS THE WETTEST MONTH OF THE YEAR
WITH 1.80 INCH. JULY, AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER WERE THE ONLY MONTHS OF
THE YEAR TO FINISH WITH A TOTAL OF AN INCH OR MORE OF PRECIPITATION.
THE DRIEST MONTH OF THE YEAR WAS MAY WHICH ONLY SAW A TRACE.
