PRECIPITATION AT INTERNATIONAL FALLS MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR 2016 WAS 40.1 DEGREES WHICH WAS 2.6
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 37.5 DEGREES MAKING THIS THE 6TH
WARMEST YEAR IN STATION HISTORY. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE YEAR
WAS 89 DEGREES ON MAY 5TH AND JULY 20TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS
-30 DEGREES ON DECEMBER 18TH. ONE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE RECORD WAS
BROKEN THIS YEAR. NOVEMBER HAD AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 37.2
DEGREES BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 36.9 DEGREES IN 2001.

2016 WAS ABOVE NORMAL FOR PRECIPITATION WITH A TOTAL OF 29.36
INCHES OF PRECIPITATION RECORDED FOR THE YEAR. THIS WAS 5.14 INCHES
ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 24.22 INCHES MAKING THIS THE 11TH WETTEST YEAR
ON RECORD. THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD
OCCURRED ON JUNE 25TH WHEN 2.68 INCHES WAS RECORDED. AT LEAST 0.01
INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 152 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.10 INCHES FELL
ON 70 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.50 INCHES FELL ON 20 DAYS. AT LEAST 1.00
