MARSHALL AIRPORT...

THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE...PRECIPITATION AND SNOWFALL WERE
ALL NEAR NORMAL.

THE AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE FOR MARCH 2017 WAS LOWER THAN THE
MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR FEBRUARY 2017. THIS IS THE EIGHTH
TIME ON RECORD FEBRUARY AVERAGED AS WARM OR WARMER THAN MARCH...AND
THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1984.

A RECORD DAILY WARM LOW TEMPERATURE OF 55 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE
1ST...BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 53 SET IN 1910.

A RECORD DAILY COOL HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 31 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE
15TH...TYING THE RECORD PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1993.

CLIMATE RECORDS HAVE BEEN KEPT AT BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL
THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT SINCE 1950. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE
RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA EXTEND BACK TO JULY OF 1872.
PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF 1871. SNOWFALL
RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.

ALL CLIMATE DATA ARE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY UNTIL REVIEWED BY THE
