BALTIMORE MD...BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD
MARSHALL AIRPORT...

THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL...AND RANKED
AS THE SECOND WARMEST ON RECORD FOR APRIL. THE WARMEST APRIL ON
RECORD WAS 60.5 DEGREES IN 1941. MONTHLY PRECIPITATION WAS SLIGHTLY
ABOVE NORMAL.

A RECORD DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 87 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE 11TH.
THIS BROKE THE RECORD OF 85 SET IN 2011.

A RECORD DAILY WARM LOW TEMPERATURE OF 67 DEGREES WAS SET ON THE
29TH. THIS TIED THE RECORD PREVIOUSLY SET IN 1956.

CLIMATE RECORDS HAVE BEEN KEPT AT BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL
THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT SINCE 1950. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS
FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA OBSERVED DOWNTOWN EXTEND BACK TO JULY OF
1872. PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF 1871. SNOWFALL
RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.

ALL CLIMATE DATA ARE CONSIDERED PRELIMINARY UNTIL REVIEWED BY THE
