.JANUARY 2017 WAS WARMER AND WETTER THAN NORMAL AT DULUTH MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR JANUARY WAS 16.0 DEGREES WHICH WAS 5.8
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 10.2 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE
FOR THE MONTH WAS 45 DEGREES ON THE 19TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS
-22 DEGREES ON THE 13TH. FIVE DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN
FOR THE MONTH AND ONE WAS TIED. A RECORD HIGH OF 45 DEGREES WAS SET
ON JANUARY 19TH BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 44 DEGREES SET IN
1900. ALSO ON THE 19TH...THE RECORD WARMEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS
SET WITH A READING OF 31 DEGREES BREAKING THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 28
DEGREES SET IN 1988. A RECORD WARMEST MINIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 33

WAS RECORDED ON 20 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.01 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL
ON 13 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.10 INCHES FELL ON 5 DAYS. THERE WAS 15.5
INCHES OF SNOW FOR THE MONTH WHICH IS 3.9 INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL OF

SEASONAL TOTAL COOLING DEGREE DAYS STANDS AT 0 WHICH WAS NORMAL. THE
HIGHEST SEA LEVEL PRESSURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 30.89 INCHES REACHED ON
THE 13TH AND THE LOWEST SEA LEVEL PRESSURE READING WAS 29.28 INCHES

AT THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR FEBRUARY IS 0.81
INCHES.  NORMAL SNOWFALL FOR FEBRUARY IS 12.4 INCHES. THE LATEST
CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK INDICATES THAT THERE IS A CHANCE
OF ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR
FEBRUARY.
