December started out on a cold note...and generally ended on a cold
note as well. Our coldest temperature of the month was -20 on the
30th...while the warmest day was 63 degrees on the 12th...which was
a record high temperature for the day. Overall we were above normal
for temperatures for the entire month...with an average temperature
of 3.6 degrees above normal. We also managed to have a white
Christmas as well. On December 24th...5 inches of snow fell...which
was a record snowfall for Christmas Eve. For the entire month we had
16.2 inches of snow...1.10 inches of rain. The snowfall ranked as
the 14th snowiest December on record...while the liquid
precipitation was the 26th wettest on record.
