THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL. MONTHLY
PRECIPITATION WAS WELL BELOW NORMAL.

PRELIMINARY DATA INDICATES THAT MAY 2015 WAS THE THIRD WARMEST MAY
ON RECORD. THIS WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT EVER HITTING 90 DEGREES.

FOUR DAILY HIGH MINIMUM TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS MONTH.

THE FIRST RECORD OF 66 DEGREES ON THE 12TH BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF
65 SET IN 2004. THE SECOND RECORD OF 65 DEGREES ON THE 17TH TIED THE
OLD RECORD SET IN 1974. THE THIRD RECORD OF 68 DEGREES ON THE 18TH
BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 66 SET IN 1995. THE FOURTH RECORD OF 66
DEGREES ON THE 19TH TIED THE OLD RECORD SET IN 1969.

ALTHOUGH THE MONTH OVERALL WAS QUITE WARM...A DAILY RECORD LOW
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE OF 58 DEGREES WAS OBSERVED ON THE 21ST. THIS
BROKE THE OLD RECORD OF 59 DEGREES SET IN 2002.
