.Summary...
Above average temperatures continued into April as well, though the
departures from normal were less than the last few months. The
warmest period was at mid month and the coolest period was in the
third week of the month, when daily temperatures were mostly between
five and ten degrees below average.

In terms of rainfall, this was the wettest April in several years,
and one of the wettest ever recorded. Up until the last week of the
month, rainfall was below average. 69% of April 2017`s rain fell in
the last five days of the month.

No snow fell.

The average high, low, and monthly temperatures were the warmest
since 2012. The average low temperature was the 9th warmest on
record.

Daily temperatures were above average on 19 days and below average
on 11 days.

It was the wettest April since 2011, and over all the 3rd wettest
April since records began.

On the 29th, the 3.30 inches of rain marked the 4th highest calendar
day rainfall recorded in the month of April since records began
(1975).

On the 29th-30th, 5.45 inches of rain fell. This marks the highest
24-hour rainfall total ever recorded in the month of April at North
Little Rock. The previous record was set exactly one year before
that, when 5.04 inches of rain fell April 29th-30th of 2016.

The 5.45 inches of rain on the 29th-30th also marked the 5th highest
all-time 24-hour rainfall amount on record at North Little Rock, and
the highest 24-hour rainfall since April 30th-May 1st 2011, when
6.92 inches fell.

Numerous short-duration rainfall records were broken during the
heavy rainfall on April 29th-30th.
