...A QUIET JUNE...

THIS YEAR`S JUNE WAS SLIGHTLY WARMER AND A LITTLE DRIER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS.  THERE
WAS A RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE 76 DEGREES SET ON THE 16TH WHICH WAS TWO DEGREES
HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS RECORD SET IN 1988.  EVEN WITH THIS RECORD TEMPERATURE THE
AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 49.3 WHICH WAS 1.5 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL
FOR JUNE AND 1.9 DEGREES WARMER THAN 2015.  THIS JUNE HAD THE 15TH WARMEST
TEMPERATURE IN THE 1907 TO 2016 PERIOD OF RECORD.

THERE WERE 15 DAYS THAT PRECIPITATION WAS REPORTED WITH FOUR OF THOSE DAYS WITH
DRIZZLE.  THE TOTAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH WAS 0.34 INCHES WHICH WAS ONLY
ABOUT A THIRD OF THE NORMAL 0.98 INCHES.  THE GREATEST ACCUMULATION WAS 0.14 INCHES
WHICH HAPPENED ON THE 17TH THROUGH THE 18TH WITH SOME OVERNIGHT RAINSHOWERS.
