.Summary...
To say this February was warm was an understatement. The monthly
temperature was over eight degrees above the 30-year average. This
made February 2017 the warmest in 41 years, and the one of
the warmest ever recorded in terms of average temperature. Three
times during the month, highs reached the 80-degree mark, and these
were the first 80-degree readings in February in since 2012, and
the most since 1986. There were a few scant cool periods during the
month, but these were few and far between.

Rainfall was below average. No snow fell.

The average monthly high temperature was the warmest since 1976,
and the 6th warmest on record. The average monthly low temperature
was the warmest since 1976, and the 5th warmest on record. The
average temperature was the warmest since 1976, and the 4th warmest
on record.

Daily temperatures were average on one day, below average on five
days, and above average on 22 days.
