IN TERMS OF AVERAGE HIGH...LOW AND SEASONAL TEMPERATURES...IT WAS
THE COOLEST SUMMER IN SEVERAL YEARS.

FOR THE FIRST SUMMER SINCE 2009...THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES AT OR
ABOVE 100 DEGREES. THERE WERE NO LOW TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 80.

FOR THE FIRST JUNE SINCE 2011...THERE WERE NO DAYS WITH TEMPERATURES
AT OR ABOVE 100 DEGREES. HIGHS WERE THE COLDEST IN A DECADE...WHILE
LOWS WERE THE WARMEST IN THREE YEARS. THERE WAS ONLY ONE DAY WITH A
TEMPERATURE AT OR ABOVE 90 DEGREES...AND THAT WAS ON THE 30TH. THIS
WAS THE FEWEST AMOUNT OF 90-DEGREE DAYS IN THE MONTH OF JUNE SINCE
2008.

JULY WILL LONG BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE COLDEST ON RECORD...IN
TERMS OF AVERAGE TEMPERATURE. THERE WERE SEVERAL PERIODS DURING THE
MONTH WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING INTO THE 50S...AND HIGHS ONLY IN THE
70S. FOR THE SECOND JULY IN A ROW...THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES AT OR
ABOVE 100 DEGREES. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2009...THERE WERE NO
TEMPERATURES ABOVE 95 DEGREES.

THE TREND OF BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES CONTINUED WELL INTO AUGUST.
IN MUCH OF THE FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH...TEMPERATURES ONLY REACHED
90 DEGREES. HOWEVER...REVERSING THE TREND OF MUCH OF THE
SUMMER...THE LAST HALF OF AUGUST LARGELY SAW TEMPERATURES AT OR
ABOVE AVERAGE. FOR THE SECOND AUGUST IN A ROW...HOWEVER...THERE WERE
NO TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 100 DEGREES...AND NO LOW TEMPERATURES AT
OR ABOVE 80 DEGREES.

RAINFALL WAS ABOVE AVERAGE FOR THE FIRST JUNE SINCE 2010.

EVEN THOUGH JULY RAINFALL WAS ABOVE AVERAGE...IT WAS THE DRIEST JULY
SINCE 2010.

THERE WAS ONLY MEASURABLE RAINFALL ON FOUR DAYS DURING THE MONTH OF
AUGUST.

THE AVERAGE HIGH WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2008.

THE AVERAGE LOW WAS THE SAME AS 2013.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2009.

IT WAS THE DRIEST SUMMER SINCE 2012.
