...FLOODING POTENTIAL EXPECTED TO INCREASE THIS WEEKEND...

RUNOFF FROM MELTING SNOW HAS CAUSED MANY RIVERS IN CENTRAL...EAST
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST WISCONSIN TO RISE ABOVE BANKFULL...WITH SOME
RIVERS AT MINOR FLOOD LEVELS. TEMPERATURES IN THE 40S WILL CONTINUE
TO MELT THE REMAINING SNOW PACK OVER FAR NORTHERN WISCONSIN THIS
WEEKEND.

A SLOW MOVING FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL BRING SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL TO
THE REGION FROM SATURDAY THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT...WITH AMOUNTS AROUND
AN INCH FROM CENTRAL INTO NORTHEAST WISCONSIN...AND AS HIGH AS 1 TO
2 INCHES IN THE FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE AREAS. THIS RAINFALL COULD
LEAD TO MORE SIGNIFICANT FLOODING CONCERNS...ESPECIALLY LATER IN THE
WEEKEND.

ANYONE LIVING NEAR RIVERS AND STREAMS SHOULD MONITOR THE LATEST
FORECASTS AND BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE FLOODING.
