...SIGNIFICANT AND WIDESPREAD AREAL/RIVER FLOODING EXPECTED OVER
   THE WEEKEND...

A POTENT UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL MOVE OUT OF THE DESERT
SOUTHWEST AND APPROACH THE REGION OVER THE WEEKEND.  MULTIPLE
ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WITH A FEW EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED STARTING FRIDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THROUGH AT LEAST
SUNDAY.

AREAL FLOODING, INCLUDING SIGNIFICANT RIVER FLOODING IS EXPECTED
BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. WIDESPREAD 5 TO 8 INCH RAINFALL TOTALS
ARE EXPECTED ACROSS A LARGE PORTION OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST
ARKANSAS WHICH COULD POTENTIALLY LEAD TO DANGEROUS FLOODING CONDITIONS.

PERSONS IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD BEGIN INITIAL PREPARATIONS FOR
THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH WILL LIKELY BE
ISSUED FOR MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS IN THE
NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS FOR THIS WEEKEND.
